Mishustin's report: National Project

On March 26, the government reported to the State Duma on its work in 2024. In fact, the time frame of the report by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin was broader, as it covered the results of the implementation of 15 national projects that operated in 2019-2024. To begin with, the prime minister expectedly highlighted the economic results of 2024. First of all, GDP grew by 4.1%, investments in fixed assets by 7.4%, and real incomes of the population by 8.4%. Among the areas of current activity identified are joint work with the Central Bank to reduce inflation, efforts to ensure macroeconomic stability, increase labor productivity and overcome staff shortages. Structurally, in his report, Mikhail Mishustin highlighted the results and the measures taken by the government (financial and regulatory) in six key areas: These are "saving people", improving the welfare of the population, building infrastructure, creating a supply-side economy, achieving technological sovereignty and developing regions. National projects were one of the key tools of the work, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers noted. "First of all, they are aimed at ensuring that people have everything they need for a comfortable life. The completed national projects have been completed," Mikhail Mishustin emphasized. New national project "Infrastructure for Life" During his speech, the Head of Government drew attention to the importance of developing modern infrastructure. The national profile project was aimed at providing citizens with new-quality housing, transport, social, and communal infrastructure. During its implementation, about 580 million square meters were built. Housing owners and tens of millions of families have significantly improved their living conditions, thanks in large part to the extensive mortgage opportunities with government support. The social gasification program continues. As Mikhail Mishustin noted, last year it was expanded to include horticultural associations; about 1 million private homes have already been connected. Housing stock is being put in proper condition throughout the country and emergency housing is being actively resettled. Over 800,000 people have moved into new and comfortable housing, and work continues under the new national project "Infrastructure for Life," the Prime Minister added. Among the main indicators in the construction sector, Mikhail Mishustin highlighted the following: The scale of construction - 580 million square meters . m of housing was built during the implementation of the national project - Tens of millions of families have improved their living conditions - 800 thousand people have been relocated from emergency housing State-backed mortgages (2024-2025) – 1/3 of all mortgage loans are preferential programs. 6 targeted programs, including: - Rural mortgage (2-3%) - Far Eastern mortgage (2%) - For IT specialists (5%) - Family mortgage (6%, from April 1, 2025 - it is possible for secondary housing in small towns) Custom construction is now available with escrow accounts.
