Maternity capital for the third child in 2024

Today, maternity capital can be obtained both at the birth of the first child and at the appearance of subsequent children. This support measure has been in effect in the country since 2007. The payment is indexed annually. In 2024, the amount of maternity capital for the third child will amount to 833,025 rubles if he was born in 2020 and 630,381 rubles when the child was born in the period from 2007-2019. Those families who previously had no right to them can count on these payments.

In the case when the firstborn was born in 2020, and the payment was not made for the second, 202,644 rubles are due for the birth of the third child. In addition to these payments, there is a regional maternity capital. The amount of benefits varies everywhere and on average ranges from 100 to 200 thousand rubles. The conditions of local programs are also different. Families with three or more children should not forget about the payment from the state in the amount of 450,000 rubles. The certificate can be used to close the mortgage. The Matkapital program will continue to be indexed and improved in the coming years. For example, a bill has been submitted to the State Duma to increase the payment to 1 million rubles by 2025.  It is also proposed to make the program indefinite. So far, it is being extended until 2030.
