Changes to the EGRN credentials

In the second half of 2025, a law will come into force that will protect the rights of participants in real estate purchase and sale transactions in the Russian Federation.

The EGRN statement will contain information about all members of the owner's family who have retained the right to use housing. The innovation will come into force on September 1 of this year.

It is worth emphasizing that the document will also include information about former family members. Also, in cases of privatized housing, information about persons who had equal rights with the owner at the time of privatization will become available.

It is expected that the statement will reflect information about relatives included in the order when paying off share contributions to the Housing and Communal Services. Experts suggest that the new law will reduce the burden on the judicial system, and will also be able to protect the interests of all participants in real estate transactions. This way, buyers will be aware of possible encumbrances in advance, and this will allow sellers to avoid unnecessary litigation.
