Khusnullin: the commissioning of real estate in 2025 has reached record levels

On January 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with the government via video link, where issues were discussed from a direct line. Among the speakers, we note the speech of the Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia, Marat Khusnullin. The commissioning of real estate in Russia by the end of 2025 will amount to approximately 149 million square meters, which is a record figure for the market, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin. "The current volume of commissioned real estate will be about 149 million square meters. This is the highest figure for all the time we have been keeping statistics," he said at a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and members of the government. Khusnullin also noted that more than 40 million square meters of them are non–residential real estate, which is also a record. In addition, the result for housing was very high – at the level of 108 million square meters, while the drop in apartment buildings was 2.4%, the figure for residential housing also reached a record 63.5 million square meters, the Deputy Prime Minister added. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin supported the mandatory inclusion of finishing parameters in the design documentation of apartment buildings. "We absolutely support this, it is a timely measure, it must be introduced. This will improve our quality and allow the population to save their money, because with centralized finishing, people simply save their money and do not get inconvenienced after the house is built, and everyone starts repairing it within a few years. He also spoke about working with state standards for decoration. "As for fines for the quality of work, we will work out the GOST standards for finishing by the Ministry of Construction by the end of the first quarter and approve them by Rosstat. Previously, most of the housing was built without decoration. And there were no such problems when accepting apartments. Since most of our housing has now been built with finishing, this legal lack of regulation has led to certain disputes and misunderstandings. Now we will finish this work with the Ministry of Construction and, accordingly, we will issue all relevant resolutions and will continue to build as much as possible with finishing," Khusnullin said.
