The central bank lowered the key rate to 20%

Today, on June 6, 2025, the Central Bank announced a reduction in the key rate from 21% to 20%.
This decision was the first easing of monetary policy since the beginning of the year and reflects an improvement in inflationary dynamics and economic stabilization.
The regulator's statement notes that the slowdown in consumer price growth and the strengthening of the national currency have created conditions for a gradual reduction in borrowing costs. However, the Central Bank stressed that they maintain a cautious approach and are ready to adjust policy, if necessary, depending on economic indicators.
Analysts expect that a rate cut may support lending and business activity, but further steps will depend on inflationary risks and the external economic situation.
The next key rate meeting is scheduled for July 2025.
